I seem to remember Mancini pulled out when he realised he wasn't likely to get the job.

Mancini was 20-1 years ago to be our next manager.

He got backed down to 6-4, I was counting my money…….

We appointed zola. 🤦🏽‍♂️

I really liked watching his Bayern teams.

Would he? Worth a sale pitch at least.

Paulo Fonseca at Lille is another who has changed his team for the better.

I’m sure he’s turned us down twice in the past

Whoever comes in too replace Moyes. Ain’t gonna to be a big name manager in their prime.(Is Mancini still that.?) But either way he won’t be next. Seems silly getting heated up over him.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. Bring in Mancini. He has proven he is a quality coach at Prem level.

We have bags of cash available so he can mould his own team.

We should be on the phone already making him an offer he can’t refuse.

I would go for Julian Nagelsmann, if we want to completely shake up the way we play and operate.

goose 9:05 Sun Aug 13
Re: Mancini Gone
He didn’t say anything about not wanting to win 4-1.
He said they’d conceded too many goals recently so would rather get back to keeping clean sheets.

Re: Mancini Gone
Not sure why you think that was out of context. He said that in response to his football being called boring. Which it is.

Anyway, we all know you have a fetish for all things Italian so carry on trying to make out he's something that he clearly isn't.

Re: Mancini Gone
Nothing like a quote out of context.

"We have conceded too many goals and this must change," the Manchester City manager said. "It has been a big problem for us. You can have moments like this in a season but you must get past it.

I like 1-0 wins. When you don't concede a goal and you have players like Edin Dzeko, Carlos Tevez or David Silva, you win 90%. I prefer we are boring for two to three matches and we win 1-0. At Birmingham [on Wednesday night] we had 25 chances to score.
"It should have been impossible to lose that game but football is like this and they scored with the first shot they had. If you watch teams that won titles, they conceded very few goals."

Re: Mancini Gone
No, I mentioned his one full season at Inter after he left Man City. I also mentioned 3 seasons at Man City, so I beat you 4-1, a scoreline Mancini would dislike, as he said himself: "I like 1–0 wins. I prefer we are boring for two to three matches and we win 1–0."

goose 8:29 Sun Aug 13
Re: Mancini Gone
So you’ve complained about me highlighting one season at Inter and responded by highlighting one season at Inter?

Across both his teams score over two goals a game.

I’d take someone with some arrogance if they won everything he’s won.

Re: Mancini Gone
I'd only have him as the new striker. Just to get a bit more mobility up there.

Nagel 7:52 Sun Aug 13
Re: Mancini Gone
Goose, you just picked out his one single high scoring season. Either side of that his Man City scored just 60 and 66 goals. When Pellegrini took over they scored 102. When Mancini went back to Inter, in his one full season there they got just 50 goals, their lowest total in 20+ years.

If he had teams like Man City and Inter scoring less than normal then how do you think he'd do with ours?

Manuel's right about him having a stick up his arse as well.

Re: Mancini Gone
Reckon he’ll end up taking the Saudi money.

But you have to lol at the comments on here, don’t want him because he takes him self too seriously? Yeh forget all the stuff he’s won, I want someone who doesn’t take himself too seriously.

Ultra cautious? His Man City won the league scoring 93 goals.
Inter & Italy averaged about 2 goals a game.

Manuel 5:25 Sun Aug 13
Re: Mancini Gone
I wouldn't want him anywhere near us, btw, moody fucker who clearly takes himself very seriously. Not the first cunt you'd invite to a party. Plus as said he's defensive.

Replace Moyes with another ultra cautious manager...

Some saying about the definition of insanity springs to mind.
